In this brief eternity...

OK today was an awesome PT day..My cousin Kim gave Mom a pep talk this AM and I was there when Loraine called her and mention PT…She is still unable to transfer from the bed to the chair even with assistance so they are using the lift…I SO need to get a picture of that up here because it looks like we may have to get one for home if she doesn’t get that part down. In PT today she stood up 5 times. With assistance and it wasn’t pretty but she was totally willing to keep going. The therapist was telling me that because of the surgery she she has a new “middle” and that middle is about 10 inches to the left of her real middle. I need to get the clinical name for it but it does explain a lot.

After PT we went outside and actually sat in the sunshine and talked for almost an hour…Just hangin and chattin away. It was nice…She said it was a very special day. She asked me to shave her head today which I did…That was bonding too because we now have the same “do” :-) She also asked me to post a pic but it felt funny so I’m holding off for now.

Overall it was a 180 from yesterday…
