Lots of Love

Feels like Mom is close now. Thursday was full of family visits and was the last day Mom could really carry on a conversation. My cousin Kim stayed with me and Mom the entire day. GREAT story with the priest..When he moved from confession to last rights Mom started saying Oh Dear….Oh Dear …OH DEAR…he calmed her and after he got through it he asked me for her Bible…Or Rosary…I said…Ummm she doesn’t have either…He said I really need something to give her to focus on…He thought for a minute and then reached in his pocket...

A couple years back we went with Gma and Gpa to Casper Beach by Mendocino. We stayed 10 days in the 5th wheel right next to the beach. Mel was in San Fran when we left but she joined us on her way back..Good times were had by all.

This was Christmas at Albion. We stayed 7 days. It was an amazing time for the family. Me and Dad spent one whole afternoon sitting in front of the window looking out at the ocean reminiscing. There is a trip to the beach later on in the video where Mom walked over a mile before she turned back. I was just told she has days

The Nurse was just here to drain her bladder this morning and told me that she has days left. Her breathing is labored and she won’t eat…It’s all I can do to get her to drink liquids. Her speech comes and goes. Last night we sat and watched 2 hours of Pawn Stars. We laughed and she was actually awake for the whole gig…She loves that show. Every moment we can have together...

The Catheter is NOT our friend :-)

OK so last night we were up from pretty much 3 AM till daybreak. The bladder infection was causing PAIN and the catheter was leaking and both have taken their toll…They pulled it this morning and she’s not in pain anymore. WOO HOO that was quite the journey.

Aunt Teri

Has been awhile…Sorry :-) It’s been kind of the same ol each day…I like to post positive stuff and lately it just hasn’t been happening. Not fair to those of you checking in…I will start posting news good or bad so ya know. We were suprised yesterday with a visit from Aunt Teri…She talked with Mom a good hour and a half. Mom got to engage in Laila and Mel’s Bday celebrations…We had 6 of Laila’s bestest friends over for a sleepover…OMG what a blast we all had…Laila opened up her presents in Grandma’s room so she could take part too. Overall it was late…taxing…and a whole lot of clean up…but worth every moment :-)

Awesome Visit

We had an AWESOME visit from Aunt Betty Jo and Uncle Lee yesterday. They spent hours with Mom. She says she had a great time. I missed the early hours but was able to hang for a couple hours last night. We cooked some Mexican food and brought Mom some tamales <— She LOVES those - Was GREAT to see you guys and great to hear Mom laugh, Thanks :-)

Sorry for not posting…it’s been a hectic few days…We are still plugging along. Mom is tired but in good spirits. The boost treatments seem to be hitting her harder. She had a room full last night…Me Mel Laila Kim and Mikey all hung out and talked with her. It’s really good to see her laugh. Another day of radiation under our belts. Mom is cute, she’s having everybody write thief name in a steno pad so she can send them Christmas cards. She only has 5 more treatments then we can work on getting her strong enough to come home.
